About the Institute

Welcome to the Institute for Biodiversity, Ecosystem Science & Sustainability (IBES)

The Institute works toward three basic objectives: Research, Education, and Responsive Technical Assistance. IBES develops research initiatives which focus on provincial priorities related to natural resource management and conservation.

All project proposals will undergo peer-review, at which time the most appropriate projects will be chosen in accordance to research priorities. The research program is conducted by honors and graduate students through defined academic supervisory protocols with formalized input from all partnering organizations.
